How It Works

How it Works (PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PAGE):

We have two types of classes: Musical Theatre Production classes and Ongoing classes.

Musical Theatre Production Classes are our Musical Theatre Level 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.  We have two sessions per year: Fall Session (September-December) and Spring Session (January-May.) These classes open for enrollment approximately two months prior to the start of a session and enrollment closes when the session begins (or when a class is full.)  There is no late enrollment, as we cast our shows during the first class. Production Classes are a flat rate, which includes two show tickets.  See rates below under “Prices”.  There is no prorated tuition, refunds, or makeup classes.  Students must be present for both the dress rehearsal and the show.  Shows are at a local theatre. To enroll in a Musical Theatre Production Class, you must pay a 50% nonrefundable deposit using your Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. The same credit card used to pay the deposit will be charged the remaining balance due on the first day of class.  There is a $25 sibling discount.  PLEASE NOTE that while there are several of the same class on the schedule (i.e. more than one Musical Theatre 1, 2, etc. per week), you are only signing up for ONE weekly Musical Theatre Class.

Ongoing Classes include all Broadway Revue/Workshop, Pre-K, Dance, Acting, Singing, Mommy & Me, and Toddler Classes.  You can enroll in these classes at any time, and the full-session tuition will be prorated.   50% deposit required to secure your child’s spot.  We require four weeks’ written notice prior to ending enrollment in a class.  There is an in-class performance for all of these classes at the end of the session (December and May).

We also have Summer Camps, Winter Break Camps, and Spring Break Camps.

If you have further questions or for help deciding which classes are best for you, you may call us at (818) 457-1228 or email us at ovationgroupproductions@gmail.com.

Policies

There is no lot parking at Ovation.  There is street parking on Ventura and Mammoth.  We are proud to offer valet drop-off for Musical Theatre Production Classes (ages 5 & up only), starting 10 minutes before class begins.  Drop-off begins the SECOND week of class.  Drop-off is at the back of the studio.  Please enter the alley for drop-off from the Mammoth side (NOT the Woodman side) and drop your child off with an Ovation teacher.  We do NOT offer pick-up.  Please park and walk in to pick up your child after class.  Our entrance is in the back of the studio.

No street shoes are allowed in our studio.  Students MUST wear dance shoes – jazz or ballet shoes are required.

Students enrolled in Musical Theatre Class Production must commit to the entire session and must be present for dress rehearsal and show.  There is no late enrollment for Musical Theatre Production Classes.  There are no makeup classes.  Students may enroll in Other Classes at any time.  We require four weeks’ notice prior to canceling enrollment in an Ongoing Class.

Roles for production shows are decided after the FIRST day of class.  Role decisions are final and complaints will not be tolerated.  Please remember that all decisions are made with the students’ best interest in mind.

There are no refunds or credits for missed classes.

Schedule subject to change.  Classes may be canceled or combined due to low enrollment.

Paperwork

All new students (or returning students but new to this location) are required to fill out paperwork: our image waiver and liability release.  These forms must be filled out and signed before a student can attend class at Ovation.  To save time on your child’s first day of class, you can print and sign the forms at home.  Click the links below to print.
